The Reading Challenge…
This year I decided to make my own Reading Challenge!
I have chosen 12 books that I have gotten from Christmas or in passing from family and friends and have wrapped them up! I have no idea which book is which, and I have no idea what the books are like as I haven’t read a single one of them.
At the beginning of each month, I will be using a random number generator to pick the lucky book. On the last Friday of the month, I will be posting a review on my YouTube channel, as well as a blog post about the book to let you know how I am getting on 🙂
I can’t wait to share this new Reading Challenge with you all! If you are completing a reading challenge this year, don’t forget to let me know how you are getting on in the comments below!
January Update …
Unforunately due to problems with YouTube, I am having to type the review to you 😦 I am hoping that I will have YouTube back up and running shortly!
Nevertheless, January’s book of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde was an intriguing but weird book! The language was definitely of an older generation, quite similar to Sherlock Holmes novels, as there were many words that I hadn’t come across before and needed to look them up to fully understand some of the context of the book. There were a few questions by the end; it was clear that Mr Hyde took a potion to turn into Dr Jekyll, but it doesn’t say why? I always had an understanding that if people referred to these people in conversation, they usually refer to it as a split personality, in the sense that you don’t know who you are talking to. Other than that, it was a good book to read!
Using the random generator, the next book to be opened was number 7!
I am literally so excited and over the moment to be read Fifty Fifty by Steve Cavanagh next!!!! I have heard so much about this author and book from the Facebook groups that I follow.
If you have read it, what did you think? Did you enjoy it?
Don’t forget to let me know in the comments how your reading challenge is going for this year!
Happy Reading, x
