Tell me a bit about yourself
I’m a french author and illustrator. I like reading , drawing, watching TV series and movies, listening to music.
What was your favourite book growing up?
The little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.
Are there any authors you inspired to be like?
Roald Dahl or J.K. Rowling would be nice.
When did you first realise you wanted to be a writer?
About 4 years ago, when I was looking for a book to offer to my niece.
Can you tell me about the books you have written? Was there one you love writing more than the others?
I have written “Nutsi wants to catch the moon”, a story about 2 little squirrels. It’s a book to help childen who are afraid of the dark and my favorite to write because it was the first. The second one “Nutsi et Lili au pays des doudous” is only available in french for now.
Are you working on any books/projects currently?
Yes, I’m working on a third book with my 2 squirrels Nutsi and Lili. I’m working on a book for babies with tiggers.
Who are/is your favourite character/s that you have created? Was this character based on someone you know/knew?
My favorite character is stuffed hazelnut. I find it really cute. And it is not based on someone I know.
Do you often hear feedback from your readers? Has there been any feedback that stuck out the most?
Yes and it is amazing. They let reviews on Amazon, Goodreads and messages on twitter, facebook. The mother of one of my biggest fan told me he coloured the “Nutsi and Lili, coloring book” in two days. She had never saw him so motivated!!!
How did you publish your book?
I sef-published my books on Amazon.
How did it feel when your first copies of your book came through?
I was really really excited!
What was the hardest scene that you have had to write?
In my second book there is a bad character and I didnt’t want that he scarred children. So I made it not really bad.
Have you ever had writers block? How did you get past it?
Not really, I have a lot of inspiration.
How long does it usually take you to write a book?
About 6 months. I have a baby so little time to work on it.
What is your most productive writing space/area?
The shower (LOL :). I have many ideas there.
What is your greatest achievement to date?
My first book “Nutsi wants to catch the moon”. I am proud there is an English edition of it.
What do you like to do when you are not writing?
Play with my adorable baby.
Do you have any tips for authors that are just starting out in their writing journey?
Find a daily routine. For me it’s drinking tea and listening my favorite musics (Prince, Bowie..)
