Plot outline: JAX- My feisty Latino heritage was a source of pride, yet it lay at the root of my heartbreak. Entangled in that root was Jason Malone. I grew up with him, so he should have known better. We both should have. For the last three years I kept him at arm’s length and it was slowly destroying me, I just didn’t want to admit it. Our bond had always been tumultuous; that was our normality. But our last conflict had cut me deep. Too deep. Now Jace was back, and he was turning my world upside down again.

After three years in the city and a string of women in my bed, I was a changed man when I returned home. And damn, J had changed too. Despite the transformation, her familiar tenacious attitude still existed in spades. I would be a fool to think gaining her forgiveness would be easy, especially after hurting her the way I did. But hell, I would do just about anything to fix what I ruined that night. We were basically family! And therein lies the problem. Unfortunately for me, the new Jocelyn Carmichael was tantalisingly irresistible, and I was officially screwed.

One fight broke us.
Three years didn’t dull the pain.
One night to regret.
A lifetime of consequences.

My Review: When I read the plot outline for Accidentally Entangled, I felt sure of how the story would go, but when I started working my way through the story, I was absolutely wrong! It was even better than I had thought it would be! Each page, I was sure I knew what was going to happen, but was pleasantly surprised the whole way through. VR Baucke brings forward an accidental night between two people, which resulted in an unplanned surprise. As both Jace and Jax learn to deal with the surprise, they both get past an event which occurred between them, more than three years prior. Along the way, Jax and Jace have to deal with unexpected twists.

I really loved the way Accidentally Entangled was written, the chapters weren’t written in just one perspective; you get to hear the perspective of Jace and Jax, as well as flash backs to previous events. It is also very steamy (adult content) in places which just enhances the attraction between the two characters.

My favourite part of the book was at the very end, as the whole story was wrapping up with a perfect happy ending. I haven’t enjoyed a book this much in a long time, well done Vicky!

Recommendation: I would recommend this book, but to an audience of 18yrs+ due to some adult natured content.
